We are dedicated to sustaining our corporate responsibility across multiple areas of our business, including the process of product design, manufacturing and production, and day-to-day operations, as well as our engagement with the wider community. This commitment is reflected in our focus on designing and manufacturing long-lasting furniture, implementing efficient packaging and transportation solutions, and responsibly supporting and stewarding our employees and partners.
It is important for us at 1000dots to manage a healthy and sustainable company. We thereby strive to do business, not only with an economic outlook, but coupled with a focus on societal, environmental, and economic concerns.
Investing in people
We strive to secure support and a good working environment for our employees. Moreover, we focus on collaborating with partners that aligns with our values. Our collaborative partnership with Center for Sociale Indsatser (CSI) in Næstved Municipality, a protected workplace that creates opportunities for people in supported employment to take part in meaningful work and contribute with their skills, is showing our commitment to creating more than designs and furniture. At 1000dots we were awarded with a nomination for the Social Price Næstved in 2021 for our special effort and contribution in supporting people to progress toward employment. Additionally, we support the local community by sponsoring local sports clubs such as Vintersbølle Gymnastikforening. Supporting local sports clubs is important to us, as it helps ensure that young people in our community have access to meaningful sports activities. We are committed to contributing to their well-being and supporting the positive values and personal development that participation in sports fosters.

Quality - our furniture is tested by the Danish Technological Institute
From the tentative start of designing our first product, our patented folding table, particular emphasis was placed on the quality and the logistics as the packaging and transportation of our tables. The efficient design of the frame of the folding table enables up to 40 frames to be neatly stacked on a single pallet, maximising space-efficient storage and transport lowering transport volumes. Moreover, our patented frame for the folding table is tested by the Danish Technological Institute according to the test EN 15372 L3, which proves them to be reliable even in environments that are subjected to substantial wear and tear. A high quality standard that supports that our table is a long lasting quality product, created to make modern workspaces flexible, and minimize the necessity for constant product replacement and waste.

Our DOT chair is subject to the same principles, as it is tested by the Danish Technological Institute according to the test EN 16139 level 2, the highest test level for chairs. This underscores our sustained dedication to crafting furniture that meets the highest standards of reliability, reducing the need for frequent replacement and lowering overall material consumption.

The DOT chair, our latest addition to our product line, is designed with the same perspectives as our folding table, however also with particular focus on sustainable source separation and recycled materials, as the shell is created by 85% recycled plastic (PP). Our further focus, on sustainability aspects, is made possible by support from SMV:Green, an European initiative designed to help small and medium-sized companies strengthen their climate ambitions, reduce their environmental footprint, and build more sustainable business practices. Their knowledge, guidance, and financial support made it possible to create our DOT chair, and further integrate sustainability initiatives and practices, such as using recycled material, into our operations.

EU ecolabel in process
The DOT chair is currently in the process of being awarded the EU Ecolabel, which involves independent verification against strict criteria covering its entire life cycle. This certification process assesses both the chair and its production methods to ensure compliance with rigorous environmental standards, including reduced environmental impact, controlled use of hazardous substances, and long-term durability. Once awarded, the EU Ecolabel will confirm that the DOT chair aligns with recognized European environmental requirements and best practices for sustainable manufacturing product design and production.
Responsible Consumption and Production
Since the inception of our business, we have prioritized responsible consumption and production through space-efficient storage and transport practices, which is optimizing resource efficiency and reducing waste in packaging and distribution. We craft quality furniture designed, tested for longevity and we at 1000dots continually strive to strengthen our initiatives within our responsible production and business practices, as demonstrated by our newest addition the ecolabeled DOT chair.
